Ex-Offender Retention Programme

Since November 2018, Maximus has successfully delivered Job Retention Support for Ex-Offenders in partnership with Yellow Ribbon Singapore (formally SCORE). We provide advice, guidance, and support to help our clients succeed in work and achieve self-sufficiency (including support to find clients second jobs). Our dedicated Case Managers do this by working closely with both clients and employers to build their career goals and resolve any work issues. They also provide holistic support across any personal and / or work-related issues that may cause clients to fall out of work.

What to expect

Phase One: Initial Engagement

Phase One: Initial Engagement

After 6-months in employment, your SCORE Job Coach will arrange a joint meeting with your dedicated Maximus Case Manager. At this meeting, we will review your needs and goals to build a bespoke Action Plan.

Phase Two: Ongoing Engagement and In-Work Support

Your dedicated Case Manager will provide tailored support according to your needs and goals. This includes:
- Site visits with your employer
- Regular 1-2-1 coaching sessions
- Advice and guidance
- Support finding a new job if required

Phase Three: Retention

Phase Three: Retention

Upon reaching 12 months in work, you will complete the programme. You will have a final coaching session with your Case Manager to identify and facilitate access to any ongoing support requirements.

  • What are the services you provide?

    We provide aftercare support for our clients, focusing on their employability and work stability, which are factors to prevent recidivism.

  • How can I sign up for this programme as a job seeker?

    As all our clients are referred by Yellow Ribbon Singapore, we do not accept walk-in registration. However, if you require any employment support, we will do our best to refer you to relevant agencies that might be able assist you.

  • Does Maximus have contacts with employers?

    We have a growing pool of employers who regularly provide us with job vacancies. To clarify, we play more of a supporting role to our clients who will be doing their own job search. We also ask of all clients to provide us with regular updates on their job search activities so that we can look up our database to see if we happen to have any connections with the employer that they have applied to!
